As a student it Steffen wound up in Poland, where the Berlin as an actor in the soap opera "M jak Milosc" ("L for Love") managed to nationwide fame. With the bestseller "Viva Polonia" Steffen is on tour in Germany to report on prejudice and endearing stories from Poland.
